Earlier today industry magazine ‘Billboard‘ reported that the Material Girl would tour on the back of her new album later this year and Australia and Asia are priority destinations.

Madonna has now announced that her tour will begin in Miami on August 29th.

The Rebel Heart Tour will take in 35 cities in America and Europe. The tour is expected to head to Australia in early 2016 before traveling through Asia.

“Madonna continues to be one of the most successful touring artists in history – her shows are legendary and we are thrilled to have her going back on tour,” said Arthur Fogel, President of Live Nation.

The singer has only toured Australia once despite being one of the world’s biggest performers. ‘The Girlie Show’ tour headed down under in 1995 since then Madonna’s shunned Australia despite promising fans several times that the next tour would include Australian dates.

Madonna’s new album ‘Rebel Heart’ is set to be released later this week.
