Wellington Boot

Name: Wellington Boot

Creature: Spoodle.

Motto: Can we chew it? Yes we can!

OUTinPerth’s Chief Assistant/Distraction, Miss Wellie has mirrored the expansion of the paper with one of her own, growing from a handful to jumbo size since her inauguration four months ago. Mind you, she’s still a handful.

Renowned for devotion to everyone, she is especially fond of the family cats, who, puzzlingly, return the fervent admiration with markedly tepid enthusiasm.

She displays a happy a talent for finding all of the odd socks, and losing the evens, and can be always be relied upon to deliver pre-loved underwear to the feet of visiting guests.

Favourite friend is Mr Puppy, a stuffed toy replica of herself that is useful for playing with, burying, putting in Mum’s boots formally-known-as-ugg and confiding that whatever misdemeanour her parents are blaming her for that was quite clearly not her fault.

Mr Puppy’s worst crime to date is the unfortunate incident with the formerly doting babysitter’s diamante-studded leopard print Mollini stilettos. Mr Puppy was in the dog house for weeks….

Is the creature you share your life with gagging for an exposé? Send your animal pics and story to editor@www.outinperth.com – if July’s nice, we night even through in a prize or two.
