Hon. Louise Pratt, has resigned from her post in the Western Australia’s Legislative Council in order to campaign for election to the Federal Senate. Hon. Pratt has represented the East Metropolitan region as a member of the Labor Party since 2001. As an openly queer politician, Hon. Pratt sat on the gay and lesbian law reform committee shortly after her election and was named Pride Patron in 2003.
