State Attorney-General Jim McGinty appeared at the Court Hotel on October 31 to commemorate the 5th Anniversary of WA’s historic gay and lesbian law reform. Mr McGinty spoke alongside Greens Councillor Giz Watson and Hon. Louise Pratt who is currently seeking election to the Federal Senate. All three participated in the debates five years ago and recollected some of their most memorable moments to a crowd that included representatives from community groups who lobbied actively for the law changes, including Gay and Lesbian Equality (GALE) and Gay and Lesbian Community Services (GLCS). Pride Patrons Kelly and Sam Pilgrim-Byrne also made their first public appearance since the birth of their daughter Charlotte.
