Possibly one of the most exciting art exhibitions occurring during this year’s PIAF will be Skin To Skin: A Dialogue Between Art & Fashion at Fremantle Arts Centre. The group show, which features 12 contemporary artists, aims to extend our understanding of the relationship between fashion and issues of identity, consumption and beauty. There will be micro-organism grown garments, work fused with architectural form plus a live fashion performance that repositions the male body as the central subject. Artists featured in this show include Davina Homer, Georgina Cresswell, Megan Salmon, and Poets of the Machine. Skin To Skin opens February 2 until March 30. www.fac.org.au
