Anthony Venn-Brown featured on the ABC ‘Compass’ program

This week’s edition of the ABC’s Compass program will share the story of Anthony Venn-Brown.

After his turbulent coming out described in his book A Life of Unlearning, former Assemblies of God preacher Anthony Venn-Brown spent the greater part of his professional life meeting behind the scenes with church leaders and religious conservatives.

He listens, engages, persuades, and explains why he believes churches can and should be affirming of their LGBTQ members.

His calm and methodical approach has seen him pursue law reform on so-called conversion “therapy” in Australia, particularly New South Wales. Through his organisation, Ambassadors & Bridge Builders International, he promotes “informed, intelligent, and respectful dialogue” and achieved what some considered impossible.

Tune in to Compass on Sunday, 29 March at 6:30pm to discover more about this leader who crosses the chasm between the LGBTIQA+ and faith communities.
