Making Rainbow Families seminar returns for 10 year milestone

Rainbow Families Australia is marking 10 years of helping LGBTQ+ Australians become parents, with the return of its Making Rainbow Families Seminar this May.

The national event, which will be available online, has supported the creation of more than 300 rainbow families since it began.

Designed specifically for LGBTQ+ people exploring parenthood, the seminar brings together experts and lived experience to help simplify what can often feel like a complex journey.

Rainbow Families Australia Executive Officer Ashley Scott said the goal is to provide clear, accessible information without overwhelming attendees.

“We understand the hurdles faced by LGBTQ+ people who are trying to build their families, but there are more options today than ever before,” he said.

The seminar will cover a range of pathways including IVF, surrogacy, fostering and adoption, along with legal considerations and a panel of LGBTQ+ parents sharing their experiences.

With an online option available, the event offers an accessible opportunity for people across Western Australia to connect, learn, and explore their pathway to parenthood.

The Making Rainbow Families Seminar will be held on Saturday 23 May. Tickets are available now.
