Canadian electro pop outfit Purity Ring is heading down under this June, with a special appearance at Hobart’s famed arts festival Dark Mofo.
Ahead of the tour, the band has released their latest single lemonlime. Described as an extension of their 2025 self-titled album, Purity Ring say the tune is a song of survival.
The self-titled concept album was written as a soundtrack to an imagined role-playing game, drawing on the digital sounds of the 1990s and 2000s.
Vocalist mj also draws on her experience becoming a full-time caregiver to a newly disabled loved one, which she says fuels her vision of a better world.
Fans outside of the east coast will have to travel if they want to catch the duo, with the tour heading to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Hobart in June.
