Australian alt-pop artist Jett Blyton has released his anticipated first single for 2026 titled American Heartthrob, marking the start of a fresh chapter.
At just 19, the Canberra-born singer has been steadily building serious momentum, he got a lot of attention with is 2025 single Apeshit.

Speaking about his new work said he was learning to write without a filter.
“American heartthrob is really about dissecting jealousy and the ugliness it projects,” Blyton said. “I’ve always been a competitive person and the sorest loser. I’m sure it’s fine in small doses, but in relationships and friendships, it’s a nightmare. That’s a common theme throughout the whole project, and I’m super excited to share the stories that are more antagonistic and rooted in the things I probably shouldn’t say, but everyone thinks.”
