Minogue chatted about her time on The X Factor UK alongside Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh, as well as the forthcoming documentary series about older sister Kylie.

Dannii joined Joel on his new couch and snacked on blueberry muffins and cream cheese as they chatted about Dannii’s varied career.

Joel shared how much he loved the same-sex dating shows that Minogue hosted, I Kissed a Boy and I Kissed a Girl were the first same-sex dating shows in the United Kingdom and ran for two seasons.

Minogue shared that she felt like she’d thrown in the deep end when she joined the judging panel on X Factor UK, appearing alongside Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh.

Dannii Minogue recounted that Simon Cowell couldn’t remember the name of the members of One Direction when their career started on the show, and used to keep a piece of paper under the desk to remind himself of who was who. One day during a live broadcast she took away his cheat sheet during a live broadcast as revenge for some of his previous comments on the show.

The singer also shared that she’s already seen the 3-part documentary about sister Kylie that was announced by Netflix earlier this week.

“I can’t tell you how joyous and moving it’s been for the whole family to watch Kylie put this together.” she said. “There’s a lot of love gone into it.”

To create the series long lost super-8 films and family VHS tapes were digitised, bringing back many memories of the sisters early days in show business.
