Queer country trio The Cowgays have teamed up with RuPaul’s Drag Race superstar Alyssa Edwards for their new single, See You in Texas.
The Cowgays comprise Brooke Eden, Chris Housman and Adam Mac, a trio widely recognised for bringing LGBTQIA+ representation to country music.
All three members built successful solo careers before joining forces.
Brooke Eden has performed on NBC’s Today Show, the ACM Awards and the Grand Ole Opry, where she performed a gender-flipped version of She’s in Love with the Boy alongside Trisha Yearwood.
Adam Mac has released three solo albums, appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show and scored a breakout hit with Disco Cowboy.
Meanwhile, Chris Housman’s debut album Blueneck reached No. 1 on the iTunes Country chart.
Their latest track, See You in Texas, is another boot-scooting country anthem celebrating queer joy and community.
Taking on the role of the misbehaving boyfriend in the music video is Kameron Ross, another openly gay country artist who gained wider attention during Season 15 of America’s Got Talent.
Ross previously collaborated with Edwards on his single Sway.
