Scene Guide: Saturday and Sunday June 2+3

We love a long weekend, so many special things to do.

Saturday

The Court Hotel will have two room of action, R&B funkiness on the inside and camp as can be disco on the outside.

The Honey Lounge in Leederville tonight from 7pm until 1am and has DJs Adam Kelly and Cee, plus Cam is live on the sax.

 

Connections Nightclub throw their doors open at 10pm.

On the straighter side, love some drum and base? Head to the Velvet Lounge at the Flying Scotsman in Mount Lawley for Fluid – tonight’s DJs are  Kent, Muller, Devo and Sane.

Sunday

The Shack have Sunset Sundays from 3pm through until late.

Alternative club night Zoo returns for a special one night revival, head to the Honey Lounge which will be transformed into a dark laser palace for the night. Zoo has only one door police, ‘come to have fun.’

Winter Exposed is on at The Court Hotel from 6pm until midnight, dress as fantasy or fetish.

Slutball is on at The Beat Nightclub at 234 William Street. It’ll feature burlesque performances from Miss Kitty Litteur, Roxy MonOxide and Sugar du Joure. The DJs on the line up are JS, GeechyDan and RGb. (We wonder if RGb is related to RDb…)

It’s Love Sundays at Luxe Bar from 8pm.

Missy Higgins is playing her second show at The Astor, Saturday was sold out but there may be some tickets left for Sunday.

The Monarchy take over Connections Nightclub and presents Richard, a bizarre dance party featuring The Monarchy DJs plus performances and installations from Voix De La Ville, outside on the terrace will be JackDoepell, RTRFM’s Jo Lettenmair and Sons of the Father.

On the straighter side, one of Perth best DJs Massiv Trav is leaving town to travel the world, head down to The Velvet Lounge at The Flying Scotsman from 3pm, Rudy, Paul Payne, Matthew Collins (bro), Craig Hollywood, Luke Reti, Puff and Callum Hawke vs William Bixler will all be playing.

Get into local music for WA Day at State of the Art,  inside and around the Perth Concert Hall you’ll find Draft, Hoodoo Gurus, San Cisco, Eskmi Joe, Jebediah, Abbe May, Sugar Army, The Brow Horn Orchestra, Ghost Hotel, Split Seconds, Sonpsilo Circus, Novacaines, Emporers and Boom Bap Pow.
