Rebecca Hills, the female co-president of Pride WA has resigned. The remainder of the committee commented on the news, stating:

‘It is always saddening when a member of the committee resigns, however in some cases it is understandable. Running events, the festival and the committee itself in a voluntary capacity can be exhausting especially with external commitments.’

Alice Newport-Holden will now take on the role. Newport-Holden will be the fourth female co-president for the WA Pride Committee in the last two years; Newport-Holden has been with the committee since 2011.
