Blake’s 7 Returns
US Chanel SyFy has annouced that they will be remaking the cult ‘70s television show Blake’s 7. The original show which ran from 1978 – 1981 was made by the BBC and followed the aventures of political disadent Roj Blake and a ban of criminals fighting an opressive regime. The original show was created by writer Terry Nation, who is also remember for creating one of Dr Who’s most famous foes, the Daleks. SyFy have annouced that Casino Royale Director Martin Campbell will helm the pilot.

The Australian version of geneological series Who Do You Think You Are? has just been funded for a sixth series. The show’s base is here in Perth. While which celebrities are featured is kept tightly underwraps, we can tell you whp is coming up in the next British series of the show. Included in the next series of the UK version of the show are Annie Lennox, Alex Kingston and Star Trek’s Patrick Stewart.
New Queer Sitcom Deemed Inappropriate in Utah
A Mormom owned TV affilliate in Utah has refused to air new US sitcom The New Normal. The new show from Glee creator Ryan Murphy is about a gay couple, played by Justin Bartha and Andrew Ranells, who decide to have a baby via a surrogate, played by Georgia King. The show makes it debut in the US this month, no Australian broascaster has been annouced yet.
David Walliams Returns to Comedy
Little Britain star David Walliams is set to return to comedy television in a new six part sitcom called Autum Leaves. Set in the staff room of a high school Walliams will play a chemisty teacher hopelessly in love with the French teacher. Since the Little Britain team’s most recent show Come Fly With Me failed to meet the success of their past programs Walliams has been appearing as a judge on Britains Got Talent.

Project Runway Australia
One of our favourite local shows is returning, Arena’s Project Runway Australia is back for a fourth season on from Monday October 8. Megan Gale returns as the host, Alex Perry is still onboard as a mentor but the judging panel has been given shakeup. Respected Australian designer Peter Morrisey is set to cast his judgement on the runway creations.

Douglas Adam’s absurist comedy The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy is one of the most widely read Sci-Fi works around, and it’s been made into a TV series and a feature film. So it’s surprising that it’s taken so long for someone to covert his other book series Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency for the screen.But a new BBC series based on the books will be on UKTV on Friday nights from October 19. It stars Steven Mangan, recently seen in Episodes, in the title role.
Revolution is Coming
FOXTEL will screen new US series Revolution from September Septmeber 19. The new show from Lost creator JJ Abrams will hit our screens just days after its US debut. The show is set in a post apocalytic world where all electricity has stopped working, setting the world back to medievil levels of technology. Handsome Twightlight hunk Billy Boyd stars alongside Lost actress Elizabeth Mitchell.
Pink To Sing Live On Today
Pop star Pink will perform songs from her new album live on Chanel Nine’s Today show on October 1. The singer’s new album The Truth About Love marks her return to the music world, her last album of new material was 2008’s Funhouse.
