Why Not To Say: 'That's So Gay'

Ash Beckham-001Late last month LGBT advocate Ash Beckham spoke at Ignite Boulder 20 about the mis-appropriation of the word gay. Beckham’s lighthearted speech is peppered with funny moments but ultimately makes the case for only using the word ‘gay’ for people who identify as same sex attracted or people who are feeling quite happy.

Presented in a petcha-kutcha style, each speaker is allowed 20 slides that forward every 15 seconds. Check out Ash’s presentation.
