Agnetha Fältskog Returns

Agnetha FaltskogAgnetha Fältskog, the reclusive vocalist from ABBA has surprisingly got a new album ready for release.

It’s nine years since the singer’s last album was released, that was 2004’s ‘My Colouring Book’ a collection of cover’s of songs from the 60’s, and it’s a whopping 26 years since the singer released any original material with her last album being 1987’s ‘I Stand Alone’.

The singer’s new album is titled ‘A’ – highlighting that’s she’s one quarter of the Swedish group that have sold 370 millions albums to date.

The album is produced by Jörgen Elofsson who has worked with Britney Spears, Westlife, Guy Sebastian and penned Kelly Clarkson hit ‘Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You). Also featuring on the album is Take That’s Gary Barlow who teams up with Agnetha for a duet called, ‘I Should Have Followed You Home’.

Speaking to the BBC Fältskog revealed that she had sung during her break from recording,

“It was nine or 10 years since I’d sung, so I didn’t know if (my voice) worked. I said from the beginning, ‘If it sounds old I don’t want to do this,” she said, “I never thought I would sing again, but when I heard the first three songs I couldn’t say no.”

The new album ‘A’ will be released on May 10. Check out the first single ‘When You Really Love Me’ below.
