Scott-Patrick Mitchell in my, my… they are Fashionable Shorts

FINGER WHISPERS
TMOD have joined forces with (man of the moment) Andy Uprock to create a new range of jewellery which explores the sensory expression of poetry through touch. After all, jewellery is worn so close to our skin that it might as well not only express a message to the beholder, but impart one to the wearer as well. Hence this collection, Poetry in Braille. It’s a series of pieces which incorporate Braille, the iconography of pyramids and ascension, all laced with snippets of profundity. The result? Mayan temples, whisper cones and chains emblazoned with Andy Uprock’s signature disposable cups. Best part? Part proceeds from all sales go to Vision Australia. Poetry in Braille is available now exclusively from Behind the Monkey. www.tmod.com.au

TAKE A PEAK… UPSTAIRS!
Have you been to Zekka recently? Even if the answer is yes, well… it’s time to visit this store once again and explore it completely. What on earth am I alluding to? The fact that Zekka now not only caters to men, but also stocks some incredibly exclusive women’s labels. And these labels aren’t just added to the floor – oh no, they are housed in an incredibly exclusive and breathtakingly chic showroom… located upstairs. Yes, this space is so exclusive you have to ask to view it at the counter. And once there, your breath will be taken away. The whole space is a luminous, sparse white, from the floors to the walls to the wardrobes. A glass ceiling floods light on a collection that includes Haider Ackermann, Sara Lanzi, MA.+ and Sharon Wauchob, with new designers unveiled in July. This a showroom you have to behold, so whether you are a fashion regular, a savvy student or just someone who appreciates great interior spaces, make Zekka on King Street your next destination. And be sure to ask to go upstairs! www.zekka.com.au
