We Supply the Tool Box, You Supply Your Tool

Project X is a project of the WA AIDS Council, providing sexual health information and resources to gay, bisexual and other men who have sex with men.

It’s 3:30pm on a Friday afternoon. You’ve been chatting to a hot guy online who has invited you to a fisting party, with six other ‘PnP’ pigs, at his hotel room in the city this evening. You’re horny. You’re excited. You’re revved. You’re there, hook or by crook! You log off, go to the play cupboard and realise, in a fit of horror and tears, that you are out of your usual play equipment. There goes that idea of a hot long session of sex…

Fear not! The WA AIDS Council (WAAC) is introducing a new resource that will soon be made available– Tool Box. Phone up and order a 2-player or 4-player pack. Drive into WAAC in West Perth and, for a small fee, pick up the resources you need.

Tool Box can be filled with most of the things that a party and play pig may need to party and play – Crisco ™, nitrile gloves (which are better with Crisco™), latex gloves, water based lube, condoms, syringes, swabs, antiseptic hand wash and a disposal tube for syringes – or any combination of these. This is a perfect resource for either the last minute invitation or as a pre-organised order if you are hosting a play session for fisting or groups.

Especially for the fisting fraternity, appropriate equipment is difficult to source in Perth and requires forward planning. With the advent of this resource, being properly prepared reduces the anxiety you may feel about turning up to a full on session empty handed, so to speak. It also provides the resources necessary to reduce potential transmission of HIV, Hepatitis C and other STIs.

WAAC endorses a range of risk reduction strategies, including the use of safe sex and sterile injecting equipment, which aims to reduce harm and minimise risk. However, there are potential risks associated with fisting, group sex, non-vanilla sexual practices and injecting drugs. Ultimately, each person is responsible for his own actions. Party safely. Play safely. Make choices that will keep you playing for good.
