Celebrate Bi-Sexuality Day

photo (3)It’s International Celebrate Bi-Sexuality Day. Bisexuality is signified by a pink, purple and blue ribbon.

The day was first observed in 1999, it’s the brainchild of three American activists, Wedny Curry of Maine, Michael Page of Florida and Gigi Raven Wilbur of Texas.

The day highlights that bi-sexual people are part of the ongoing fight for equality of LGBT people, but are also sometimes marginalised within the gay and lesbian communities.

So give a big cheer today for all your bi-sexual friends!
