Creating a New Kingdom

DSC_0274Perth based games designer Michelle Osborne is celebrating the release of her latest creation ‘Brave Kingdom’.

The game allows players to explore a world of wonder and excitement, as you and your faithful pet, meet strange and interesting folks and take on the wild beasts and challenging quests.

In the game players can catch pets, find treasure and craft items. Players can set off to vanquish foul beasts or simply collect herbs and flowers to make items and chat with the dynamic characters in the game.

Osborne told OUTinPerth that the dynamic nature of the game was one of the goals she set out to achieve in its design. Osborne describes it as a RPG like no other, as it allows players to create customised characters with a great range of variety. Creating a game where players had consequences for their actions is something that Osborne felt was an essential element.

Brave Kingdom Brave Kingdom 2The game which is available for Android phone and will soon also be available for the iPhone market is Osborne’s second game creation. The self taught designer previously created a PC based game.

The idea for ‘Brave Kingdom’ came to Osborne while she was really bored spending time in hospital recuperating from a car accident. All together the game took around six months to program.

Brave Kingdom is available now through Google Play.
