Pride WA Appointment Event Managers for Fairday 2014

Pride Fairday 2012Pride WA has appointed The Events Agency as event managers for their Pride Fairday event in 2014. The community gathering is set to undergo major changers in 2014 moving from the City of Perth back to it’s former home in Hyde Park.

The event will also be alcohol free and family focused under the guidance of The Events Agency, an events management company that has been behind many successful events including the  Beaufort Street Festival and the Perth Jazz Festival.

In announcing the appointment of The Events Agency, Pride Co-President Daniel Smith said Pride was looking forward to building a long-term relationship.

“Pride WA worked with The Events Agency on parts of this year’s Pride Parade and ‘Celebration’ and we were impressed with the professionalism with which they approached the job,” Smith said.

“They bring a lot of experience and commitment to the table and we are keen to expand their role.  We are really excited about the ideas they have for FAIRDAY.”

Co-President Michelle Rigg said The Events Agency would handle all aspects of planning and staging Fairday.

“The Events Agency will manage all logistics, approvals and operational elements of Fairday, as a part of our long-term vision of building a professional and sustainable organisation,” Ms Rigg said.

Event Director Nikki Graski said The Events Agency was looking forward to working with Western Australia’s LGBTIQ community in delivering FAIRDAY.“At The Events Agency, we understand how important Fairday is to the community and we will work closely the Pride WA Committee of Management to ensure the return of the event to Hyde Park exceeds all expectations,” Graski said.

Pride WA is currently accepting Expressions of Interest from potential stallholders and entertainers.  To indicate your interest, please email festivalmanager@pridewa.com.au. Fairday returns to Hyde Park on Feruary 16 2014.
