In his new series ‘Out There’ Stephen Fry travels the globe meeting some of the most famous gay people in the world and some of the planet’s biggest homophobes.
During the series Fry chats to Elton John and David Furnish about their coming out experiences, civil union and decision to raise a child, he travels to Uganda, a country proposing harsh penalties for homosexuality and visits California to meet practitioners who claim than can stop people from being gay.
In a second episode Fry travels Russia and meets the architect of Russia’s strict anti-gay propogandas laws and travels to India to meet people from the country’s transgender community.
‘Out There’ screens on ABC1 from Monday January 20th at 8:30pm.
