nbc_new_shows_sean_saves_the_world_official_trailerSean Hayes sitcom ‘Sean Saves the World’ hasn’t even made it to Australian screens yet and already it’s been axed by it’s US network.

‘Sean Saves the World’ sees the former ‘Will and Grace’ star play a gay man who becomes a parent when his teenage daughter comes to live with him. ‘Smash’ star Megan Hilty co-stars in the show as Sean’s coworker.

NBC has aired 12 of the 14 episodes of the show, but the last two episodes may never make it to air. US viewers will have to wait until after the Sochi Olympics to see if the final episodes get an airing.

NBC is not giving up with gay themed sitcoms though, they’ve just given a green light to a new show developed by Ellen Degeneres. ‘One Big Family’ will be about a lesbian who decided to have a baby with her sing gay best friend, once she falls pregnant though he meets the love of his life and they all settle down as a family.
