Last week we noticed a story in a business publication that announced that convenience store chain 7-Eleven were expanding into the Western Australian market.

While the story noted that it would be the first time in 32 years that the chain had entered a new market, and that they planned to open 11 over the next 12 months and expand up to 75 stories over five years…. it didn’t answer the first question that came into our minds…

Would they be bringing the Krispy Kremes too?

Now thanks to the helpful folk in their PR department we can confirm that yes, the Krispy Kremes will be stocked in WA stores!

No more will we need to haul back boxes of the tasty doughnuts on flights returning from Sydney and Melbourne. Gone will be the days of falling into a sugar coma on your first night in an east coast city. No longer will we hang out and that other doughnut chain using our imagination.

There’s no word yet on when the first store is set to open, but we think it’ll be quite popular.
