The Legend That is Nana Mouskouri

Nana MouskuriLegendary singer Nana Mouskouri is heading to Perth next year. The iconic singer will play the Concert Hall on Sunday April 19th.

Mouskouri, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday, is one of the world’s best selling artists. To date she’s sold over 300 million records and recorded over sixty albums.

Since she first came to international attention in the 1961 with his signature tune ‘The White Rose of Athens’ Mouskouri has recording songs in many different languages including English, Greek, French, Italian, Spanish and many languages.

Alongside her music Nana Mouskouri is also famous for her iconic look, she’s never been seen without her thick rimmed glasses and bobbed haircut.

To celebrate Nana Mouskouri’s work we’ve created a new Facebook group to showcase her work.

You don’t have to be a super-fan to join, just have a mild interest in the work of this iconic artist.

Nowadays Nana’s records are often found in Op Shops and Second Hand Stores. Which is not surprising given how many millions she’s sold.

To increase the value of Nana’s works the OUTinPerth team have begun a requisition program – buying up all the albums we can lay our hands on.
