British band New Order are back with their 10th studio album. ‘Music Complete’ will be the band’s first album on respected record label Mute and it’ll be out on September 25th.

The album has been described as more electronic than their more recent work and features collaborations with a range of guests including Elly Jackson from La Roux, Iggy Pop and Brandon Flowers.

The album also features tracks produced with Tom Rowlands from The Chemical Brothers. Producer Stuart Price who has produced records for Madonna, Pet Shop Boys and the Scissor Sisters was also involved in the production.

The album will be the band’s first LP without longtime member Peter Hook. The bass player quit the band back in 2007. The band’s 2009 release ‘The Siren’s Call’ featured recordings made before Hook left the band.

Tom Chapman, who performs in lead singer Bernard Sumner’s side project Bad Lieutenant, has joined the band as bass player alongside Phil Cunningham on keyboards and Stephen Morris on drums.

Also back on board for the new album is founding member Gillian Gilbert. Gilbert, who is married to Morris. Gilbert rejoined the band in 2010 after a decade long hiatus to raise the couples children.

The album’s first single ‘Restless’ was released last month and the band have just unveiled it’s ‘Excalibur’ inspired video.
