Remember for pop songs like ‘9 to 5 (My baby takes the morning train)’ and ‘Modern Girl’, Easton went on to record a Bond theme with ‘For Your Eyes Only’ and teamed up with Kenny Rodgers for the epic ‘We’ve Got Tonight’.

‘Strut’ which came out in 1984 was another big hit for Easton, and the point where he girl next door image was given a big makeover.

She surprised everyone by teaming up with Prince who wrote her controversial song ‘Sugar Walls’ which had sexually suggestive lyrics. The tracks was listed as one of the ‘Filthy Fifteen’ by  a group pushing for warning labels on music.

Easton also performed a duet with Prince on the his track ‘U Got the Look’ and appeared on the ‘Batdance’ album.

In 1991 Easton was still in the charts singing ‘What Comes Naturally’, the song went to number three on the Australian charts.

Later Easton released an album of standards and in 2000 she put out a very camp album filled with disco numbers. In 2001 she sang at the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
