World's No. 2 DJ brings an Ibiza-style 'White Party' to Perth

White Party

Future Entertainment and Mellen Events are bringing Armin Van Buuren to Australia to put on his Ibiza-style ‘White Parties’, and Perth is getting a taste on a Friday night! On the back of his sold out Metro City, ‘Armin-only’ solo show in 2004 and his headlining spot on the 2006 Two Tribes Festival tour, Armin will treat Perth audiences with an extended set you’ll need the whole weekend to recover from! Expect to be transported to another world as spectacular visuals and sophisticated sound production beam out to thousand’s of party people all dressed in WHITE! Melbourne’s Mark James will support.

Consistently ranked as one of the world’s top dance music identities in the DJ Mag Top 100 Poll, Armin last toured Australia in March 2006, headlining the Two Tribes tour and inaugural Future Music Festival in Sydney. Fans are already frothing at the mouth in anticipation of the upcoming ‘arena’ tour.

Armin has held the Number 2 position in the prestigious public voted DJ Top 100 Poll for consecutive years now. Other recent accomplishments include the awards for Best Radio Show and Best Compilation (for ‘A State Of Trance’) at the 2005 Miami Winter Music Conference’s International Dance Music Awards (IDMAs). The success of his A State Of Trance radio show has led to a signing with The Radio Department (home to Carl Cox and John Digweed), who have distributed the show internationally. Check out his website www.arminvanbuuren.com for details of online and FM broadcasters.

Early Bird Tickets are going for the ridiculously cheap Superstar DJ price of $45 + b/f, on sale Thursday 19 April. But be warned, once the Early Birds run out (or Friday May 4 arrives – whichever comes first!), tickets will go up to $60 + b/f. Available through Ticketmaster (phone 136 100), www.ticketmaster.com.au and the usual outlets – 78 Records, DJ Factory, Live Clothing, Mills Records, Planet Video, Rockeby Records and www.inthemix.com.au.
