Grant teamed up with director Lisa Gunning to create a story about a young man who  wants to join a synchronised swimming team. The video gently proposed questions about gender roles, and could be interpreted as a transgender coming out story.

The song is the second single to be released from Grant’s third album ‘Grey Tickles, Black Pressure’. The record features contributions from many well known musicians including Tracey Thorn, Amanda Palmer and Budgie from The Slits and Siouxie and the Banshees.

Grant told OUTinPerth that when he began the record the challenge he set himself was just getting it finished on time.
