There’s so much on this weekend, if you’re sitting at home doing nothing – you’re definitely missing out!

The Pride Festival is in full swing, Friday and Saturday Sol Gabetta is playing Dvorak at the Perth Concert Hall, the Rainbow Families Picnic is set for Saturday it kicks off at 11am in Kings Park at the Lotterywest Children’s Playground. The Court Hotel has The Gayest Night Ever from 8pm through to 2am tonight, while at Connections Nightclub DJ Tama Sumo & Heatsick – they are a treat not to be missed. Tomorrow night at Connections the popular men’s night Filth returns with guest DJ Brett Austin from Sydney.

In the theatrical realm South Pacific has just opened at the Crown Theatre, Midsummer – A Play With Music from Black Swan State Theatre Company is playing at the Heath Leger Theatre at the State Theatre Centre. Falling to the Top, the award winning cabaret show is on all this weekend at The Kings Hotel in the city.

If you’re after some rock n roll Mezzanine are launching their album at Amplifier on Friday night. Head to The Court early on Saturday night as local musician Chris Nosiara launches the video for this debut release.

Don’t sleep in on Saturday, head down to Mount Lawley for the annual Beaufort Street Festival – the best street festival in Perth by far. It begins at 12pm and runs through to 9pm. Don’t forget to drop in on RTRFM’s Block Party – it’s  in the carpark behind the station. Also get out in the sunshine for Slutwalk 2013 the annual event that highlights our attitudes towards women and sexual assault, it starts in Stirling Gardens at 11am.
