Singer songwriter Sarah McLachlan has called it quits on the international all-women Lilith Fair following a decline in box office sales.
The Lilith Fair founder told Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper last week she would not revive the music festival.
‘It’s done,’ McLachlan said. ‘And that’s okay. It’s actually a really good thing.’

Lilith Fair ran for three years from 1997 to 1999 and was revived last year.
McLachlan found music tastes had moved on since the previous Lilith Fair in 1999 and blamed herself for not changing with the times.
