November is fast approaching and Pride WA have announced registrations are about to open for this year’s #LoveWins themed PrideFEST and Pride PARADE.

LGBTIQ community groups, artists and performers from the LGBTIQ community can register for this year’s festival, which will run from Friday 11th – Sunday 20th November.

Groups, individuals, businesses and supporters of the community are also invited to participate in the Pride PARADE – the hallmark event of the 10 day festival.

For the first time this year, Pride WA have announced an allocation of funding available to regional LGBTIQ groups to hold an event during 2016 PrideFEST. A limited number of grants of up to $5,000 will be available for LGBTIQ organisations in country towns to support community activations.

Pride WA President Andrew Barker has given thanks to community partner Lotterywest for their ongoing support of the event.

“The Pride WA committee is delighted to once again be working with Lotterywest, the City of Perth, City of Vincent and other corprorate partners to be delivering a festival and Parade that acknowledges and celebrates the contribution made to the wider Western Australian community by LGBTIQ people, their families and supporters,” Barker said.

“Pride WA wouldn’t be able to undertake the work we do on behalf of the LGBTIQ community in Western Australia without the generous support of community and corporate partners and the supportive members of Pride WA.”
