Troye Sivan picks up a swag of ARIA nominations

Troye Sivan

Perth musician Troye Sivan has picked up 7 nominations at this year’s ARIA Awards.

Sivan is nominated for Album of the Year for his debut LP Blue Neighbourhood, as well as Best Male Artist and Best Pop Release.

He’s also scored nods for Best Video and Apple Music Song of the Year for his single Youth.

Sivan has the second highest number of nominations in the year’s awards. Flume leads the pack with eleven chances to pick up a trophy.

Other notable nominations include Tina Arena’s Eleven which is included in the Best Adult Contemporary category. Local band Koi Child have also scored a nomination for best Urban release.

The Avalanches long awaited come back album Wall Flowers has also racked up multiple nominations.

The awards will be announced at The Star in Sydney on 23 November
