Will ‘Forty Love’ do for tennis what ‘Heated Rivalry’ did for ice hockey?

Audiences have had their first look at the upcoming film Forty Love, and some are already wondering whether it could do for tennis what Heated Rivalry did for ice hockey.

Set in the world of professional tennis, the drama explores the tension between ambition, performance and intimacy against the glamorous backdrop of the French Riviera.

The film stars Paul Kircher, the French actor best known for his roles in The Animal Kingdom and Winter Boy. He is the son of actors Irène Jacob and Jérôme Kircher.

Kircher stars alongside Romeo Beckham, who makes his screen debut in the project. Beckham is the son of football legend David Beckham and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham.

Forty Love is scheduled for release in French cinemas on 25 November and is expected to reach international audiences in early 2027. The cast also includes Guillaume Canet, Benjamin Voisin and screen legend Catherine Deneuve.

The film marks the feature directorial debut of Pierre-Ange Carlotti, who has built a reputation in the world of fashion photography.
