Joel Creasey began his new comedy tour ‘The Juggernaut’ last night with a show at The Astor Theatre, he’s got a second show on tonight.

Having seen Creasey perform many time over the last six or seven years I can honestly say this new show saw him rise to a new level. His tales of comedic celebrity encounters, adventures in the jungle and the stories about his own personal life were laugh out loud funny.

From wondering what Shelly Craft actually does on The Block, to explaining why he was banned from Telethon, or recounting what it’s like to go the ARIA’s and explaining what its like trying to get in with the Real House Wives of Melbourne – this was a take no prisoners peak into the world of celebrity.

Creasey’s also honest about his own growing celebrity stature. He shares his joy at being recognised in public – if if its in the worst of time to be spotted. Creasey comically lists off the freebies he’s been sent in the last month, and notes that to make it on to ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ you need to have two months free in your work schedule – which really does only leave it open to Z-grade has-beens and young up-and-comers.

Creasry shares his adventures and his tales about Andrea Moss, Jessica Mauboy, Julie Bishop, Maureen McCormick, Tina Arena, Gretel Kileen, and the entire cast of Home and Away – probably best to see this show before they all send the lawyers in.

The most touching (and hilarious) part of the show is when Creasey shares the story of his own breakup with US based boyfriend Jeffrey Self. Discovering that his boyfriend has been seeing someone else behind his back, Creasey recalls his post break-up emotional roller coaster.

He claims the other party was a well known actor, who is ‘not out’. Creasey doesn’t give the actors name, but he does list a few films he’s starred in. Is this OK? – that’s debatable – not giving any clues about the actor’s identity wouldn’t have lost him any laughs.

If you want to laugh for two hours solid, this is the show to see.
