Stefano (Nicholas Anthony Iacona) was a muse of Madonna’s, starring in her video for Deeper and Deeper and featuring in her limited edition photography book, Sex.

The upcoming film will cover Stefano’s life from his discovery by drag superstar Chi Chi LaRue, to the loss of his father, to his untimely death in 1994 by drug overdose at age 26.

Alaska is tipped to play Gender, a member of LaRue’s band Johnny Depp Clones, while Visage will act as narrator in the form of TV host Anita.

The as yet unnamed film will be directed by Miss Congeniality 2 and Magic Mike XXL director Chad Darnell.
