WAAPA is bringing a chorus line of tap-dancing feet and high-energy song and dance to the stage with a grand production of 42nd Street.

Set in Depression-era New York, the show spins the classic showbiz take of a young hopeful shooting for the stars and aiming to land in her first Broadway show.

When fading star Dorothy Brock breaks her leg onstage, director Julian Marsh plucks young Peggy Sawyer out of the chorus and the star-making begins.

Since its stage premiere in 1980, 42nd Street has picked up a bevy of awards, including a Tony, a Drama Desk Award, and a Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical.

42nd Street is loaded with iconic tunes such as Lullaby of Broadway and of course We’re In The Money and now Perth audiences can join in the fun.
