'Stronger Together' raises money for LGBTI people in Chechnya

A new charity single hopes to raise funds to support LGBTI people living in fear in Chechnya. A bunch of singers have come together to record Sybil’s Hi-NRG dance classic Stronger Together.

Sybil appears on the new single alongside many house music stars including Sam Bailey, Suzanna Dee, Soraya Vivian, Angie Brown, Mary Kiani, Samantha Atkinson, Ross Alexander, New Dynamixx, Rob Sainsbury, Georgia Burgess, Bonita Delaney, Kyle Passmore, Karl William Lund, Seb Hayes & The Show Bears.

Stronger Together first appeared on Sybil’s 1993 album Good ‘n’ Ready and was written by Mike Stock and Pete Waterman. As part of the trio Stock, Aitken and Waterman, they’d written hits for Bananarama, Kylie Minogue, Rick Astley, Jason Donovan and many others.

Fifty per cent of the income from the record will be donated to ILGA-Europe with the aim of helping (perceived) gay and bisexual people being persecuted, detained and tortured in Chechnya.

You can buy or download the single from this website.
