Aussie drag superstar Courtney Act may have stumbled walking in to the Celebrity Big Brother UK house this year, but she has emerged the champion.

Act, also known as Shane Jenek, won the title over former Conservative MP Ann Widdecombe – who often butted heads with Act in the house over the 32 day period.

The RuPaul’s Drag Race star fast became a fan favourite in this year’s round of the reality series, speaking openly and candidly about issues of sexuality and gender with the other housemates.

Speaking on her win, the gender-fluid star says winning in Big Brother‘s ‘Year of the Woman’ was a special victory.

“I guess coming into the house is validation that it’s okay to be different,” Act told host Emma Willis.

Courtney Act won’t have long to celebrate though, as she’s due to arrive here in Perth shortly for her Fringe World show Under The Covers.
