His drumming can heard throughout the AACTA award-winning 2017 film Whiteley” directed by local filmmaker James Bogle.

The Daniel Susnjar Afro-Peruvian Jazz Group comprises leader Susnjar (drums/compositions), Ricki Malet (trumpet), Luke Minness (saxophone), Harry Mitchell (piano), Jeremy Thomson (guitar), Zac Grafton (bass) and Iain Robbie (percussion).

Susnjar said he was excited about the upcoming album.

“I feel passionate and truly exited about documenting the sound which we have developed together as a unit. Everybody has dedicated so much of themselves towards this project, and I’m thrilled with the results.”

Spark showcases the ensemble in world-class form, performing cutting edge original Afro-Peruvian Jazz music to an in-studio audience.

The album is the next step in Susnjar’s push forward with innovative ways to express artistic sensibilities from the Afro-Peruvian and Jazz musical traditions.
