ASIST: Suicide First Aid Workshop

Connection and Wellbeing Australia will be facilitating a two-day ASIST suicide first aid workshop this May.

ASIST will teach you how to identify when someone may be thinking about suicide, how to talk openly and directly with them about it and how to help someone keep themselves safe by connecting them with the supports they need.

This workshop is being run in partnership with PFLAG Perth (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) and TransFolk of WA and will be FREE OF CHARGE for People who are Transgender and/or Gender Diverse, as well as family, friends and loved ones of Transgender and Gender Diverse Folks.

Light refreshments will be provided and a certificate will mark your completion of the course.

Come along to earn an internationally recognised qualification- or just because you want to learn how to help your mates in a safe and inclusive space.

The ASIST workshop will be run on Saturday 26th and Sunday 27th May, from 8:30am to 5pm both days at Northbridge Piazza Community Building (Cnr Lake st and James st, Northbridge).
