Golden is the title track from Kylie’s latest album and follows previous singles Dancing and Stop Me From Falling.

The video sees Kylie cavorting on the beach and in a hotel room in a series of sequenced dresses.  Like her previous video for Stop Me From Falling the film shoot took place in Cuba.

The song was written in collaboration with country music writers Lindsay Rimes, Liz Rose and Steve McEwan.

Kylie celebrated her 50th birthday with a party in London at the Chiltern Firehouse. There were heaps of celebrity friends in attendance including  Jason Donovan, Guy Pearce, Rick Astley, Melanie C, Graham Norton, Alan Carr, Chrissie Hynde, David Walliams, James Blunt and Rhys Ifans who were spotted at the event.

The singer also posted a photo to her Instagram account of her kissing new boyfriend GQ magazine’s Creative Director Paul Solomons.

Video from the party appeared on social media showing Rick Astley singing his hit Never Going to Give You Up before segueing into Minogue’s I Should Be So Lucky.

Back in the 80’s it was widely noted that if you played Minogue’s song on 33RPM  insteadof 45RPM it sounded remarkably like Rick Astley.  The pair shared the same writers and producers at the start of their careers.
