The Court Hotel picked up two awards at the WA Hospitality Awards for Excellence on Monday night. The venue was recognised for their outstanding training of staff and their recent renovations.

Bree Maddox, the owner of the venue, said the team were thrilled to be recognised for their efforts.

“The renovations were such a massive project, it was great to be recognised for all the hard work the team had done. We were also ecstatic about winning the training award as we train all our staff in-house.”

Last year the venue added Verdict a stylish new bar on the venue’s second level, as well as completing transforming their outside beer garden.

Australian Hotels Association (WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the pace of innovation and evolution of WA’s hospitality industry over the past year has been extraordinary, with the quality of venues, products and service reaching new heights.

“These awards are an opportunity to applaud those in the hospitality industry who are achieving excellence in what is an extremely competitive sector,” Woods said.

“Hotels, bars, restaurants, pubs, taverns, wineries and breweries across WA are continually exceeding expectations, with new and exciting offerings being complemented by innovation within existing venues.”

“Throughout WA, patrons can enjoy first-class food, beverage, accommodation and service, a demonstration of the level of excellence we now see throughout the state’s hospitality industry.”

“The hard working people within these venues continue to be the industry’s greatest asset, with service excellence being driven by dedicated and professional employees.”

“This year we have seen a record number of entrants for the awards, reflecting the pride that managers, staff and owners have in their businesses and the staff who drive their success.” Woods said.

Among the numerous awards handed out Northbridge venue Tiki AF was named best small bar, while the late night venue award was picked up by The Universal Bar, Market Grounds was named best new venue, while Crown Perth was named best hospitality venue.
