Perth is set to get a new LGBTIQ+ space later this month, with the opening of a new bar in the heart of Subiaco.

LAMB will be flying the rainbow flag on Rokeby Road in the hopes of creating a new space where “the LGBTQIA+ community can feel free to dance, drink and be whoever they want and be in a safe, secure and positive environment.”

Speaking to OUTinPerth, LAMB’s management team said they thought it was time that Perth had a new venue dedicated to the queer community.

“Perth is very lacking in venues that are different. We are so far behind compared to the rest of Australia,” LAMB management said.

“I have great dreams for LAMB. I dream of an intimate venue where people can be themselves, where love is love and there’s no judgement. A place where you can dance the night away with not a care in the world.”

LAMB is holding their grand opening on Saturday 13th April from 9pm. Check out the new space at 83 Rokeby Rd, Subiaco or find out more on Facebook.
