Since acquiring 21st Century Fox, Disney now own the rights to the novel that inspired the story – Simon vs the Homosapien Agenda by Becky Albertalli.

Love, Simon screenwriters Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger are teaming up with the film’s director Greg Berlanti and the showrunners from This Is Us to adapt the story for TV.

The 2018 film starred Nick Robinson as the titular Simon, alongside Josh Duhamel, Jennifer Garner, Katherine Langford and Australia’s Keiynan Lonsdale.

The team are yet to announce whether the cast will return or if roles will be reimagined, or when we can expect the series to hit our screens. Disney+ steaming service will launch will over 400 movies and 7000 shows from their catalogue this November.
