US Presidential hopeful Pete Buttigieg and his husband Chasten feature on the cover of the latest edition of TIME magazine.
The mayor of South Bend, Indianna is currently polling third in the crowded race to become the Democratic nominee for president in 2020. Former Vice President Joe Biden is the front runner, followed by Bernie Sanders, but Buttigieg is significantly younger than more established politicians and does not yet have their national recognition.
In the accompanying article the magazine notes that while he’s currently polling third in the race, there are many factors that make Buttigieg an interesting candidate.
He’s a Christian and speaks regularly about his faith, he’s a veteran having served several tours in Afghanistan and speaks seven different languages.
Buttigeig is married to his husband Chasten, they met on a dating app, and they had their first date at a bar famous for it’s Scotch Eggs.

In his teenage years Buttigeig won an award for writing an essay about Bernie Sanders, now he’s fighting him for the party’s nomination.
