The Veronicas' Jess Origliasso and Kai Carlton celebrate engagement

One half of The Veronicas, Jess Origliasso, has shared the news of her engagement to musician Kai Carlton on social media.

Jess and Kai shared the good news from their holiday in California, among the stunning scenery of Joshua Tree National Park.

“Happy 1 year & THE REST OF MY LIFE with you @kaigodlike…” Origliasso posted to Instagram with a snap of her new ring.

“I’ve been happy crying for 2 hours. I’ve never felt so full.”

Carlton, a fellow music-maker who opened up to fans about his identity as a transgender man earlier this year, also couldn’t wait to share the news with their followers.

“She said “yes” and I’m the happiest mf alive,” Carlton posted after putting a ring on it, “I listen to Beyonce’s advice.”

Jess is also set to appear with her sister Lisa in an upcoming reality series The Veronicas; Blood is for Life, which dives into the twins’ relationship and personal lives.

The Veronicas: Blood is for Life comes to Foxtel next week.
