BBC have announced that the UK spin-off of RuPaul’s Drag Race will reign again for another year.
The show’s debut season is currently airing around the globe, and streaming Stan here in Australia.
The show has been met with fan praise for bringing a breath of fresh air to the 11-year-old series, and production company World of Wonder and RuPaul are ready to begin casting for the show’s second season.
“I want to thank the BBC and all our fans for their overwhelming support of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK,’ RuPaul said in a statement.
“This season’s queens proved that Britain’s Got Charisma, Uniqueness, Nerve and Talent – and I want to see more!”
Last week’s episode saw the top 6 queens split into two groups to create their own verses for an original girl group tune – which saw the Frock Destroyers race to third place in the UK’s iTunes charts, and the top 20 of the official charts, with their version of Break Up (Bye Bye). A petition is even circulating to get the queens on the Eurovision stage to represent the UK.
Contestants Baga Chipz, Blu Hydrangea, The Vivienne, Cheryl Hole and Divina De Campo are will battle it out for a place in the top 4 in tomorrow’s episode.
