Late night shows at Fringe World are where it get’s serious, or possibly complete opposite of serious.
Late shows are unpredictable, there’s a level of craziness and debauchery that goes with the territory.
Last night we caught the 11:30pm show at Noodle Palace, it’s called ‘Roaring Accordion’.
It’s a one man show from the charismatic and slightly deranged performer named Strangely.
How can I encapsulate this show without spoilers…. well there was bicycle balancing and dangerous juggling, stripping and swearing, bells were rung and songs were sung.
We shared stories and drank more beer, we played tricks on each other and at the end we all got up to create the world smallest mosh pit for some crowd surfing. All of this while playing the accordion.
This show was stunningly shambolic, we bought the CD, and we’re thinking about going again tonight, except this time we’re going to drink more beer before the show. Most of last night’s show was unplanned as we headed off on an unexpected tangent, so who knows what your experience may be, we’re sure it’ll be good.
‘Roaring Accordion’ is at Noodle Palace until February 20th. Get tickets at www.fringeworld.com.au Â
