This year the ‘GAYTMs’ have been customized with colourful decorations in homage to drag queens, dykes on bikes, disco dancing and dogs.

Some of the GAYTMs play music when activated. One gives its users compliments. The screens have also been given a makeover, displaying messages such as ‘Hello darling!’ and ‘Push my buttons’ being displayed throughout the festival.

As well as the six GAYTMs in Sydney there will also be a seventh installed in a different location in Australia that is yet to be announced. It is titled ‘The only GAYTM in the village’.
